RIP: Matsuri
We lost another great band today. The Cali natives, Matsuri, have decided to call it quits, playing three final shows. They have released one LP (Endship) and one EP (Whales) while also being apart of two splits with Moldar and Deers!.

So I know a lot of people in the “know” have already heard rumors about matsuri being no more, so I guess i’ll just get it out in the open here: yes, matsuri is going to be ending. the next 3 shows will be our last 3, with a show in SLO on saturday this weekend with an awesome DIY community and a ton of our friends that we’ve played with over the years, and then in santa cruz the next day on that sunday. our last show will be a date in march that we are still planning, but rest assured we will let you all know when that is. ironically, this also is the same time that we’ve finally had to say we most definitely can’t have shows at our house anymore, because its been torn down for remodeling. we all knew this day would come eventually, we just didn’t know how soon. with that being said, i have made some amazing friends over the last 2 years and had a GREAT time doing it. thank you so much for everyone’s support in something that was honestly magical for me to be a part of. in the coming month, we’ll be figuring out where we will be going from here, to give back to the south bay music scene for all it has given us and for all the people that are a part of it. thank you.”
